قال: "ثم ابتدأ بالحجر الأسود فاستقبله وكبر وهلل" لما روى أن النبي عليه الصلاة والسلام دخل المسجد فابتدأ بالحجر فاستقبله وكبر وهلل. قال: "ويرفع يديه" لقوله عليه السلام "لا ترفع الأيدي إلا في سبعة مواطن وذكر من جملتها استلام الحجر" .
