(ولا) يصح الوقف (على كتابة التوراة والإنجيل، ولو) كان الوقف (من ذمي) لوقوع التبديل والتحريف، وقد رُوي من غير وجه:"أنَّ النبيَّ - صلى الله عليه وسلم - غَضِبَ لما رأى مع عُمرَ صحيفةً فيها شيءٌ من التوراةِ". وكذا كُتُب بدعة.
