(وعلمه من عليه الحق، وكتمه) المدين عن ربِّ الدَّين (خوفًا من أنه) أي: ربَّ الدين (لو علمه) أي: الدين (لم يُبرئه) أي: ربّ الدين، منه (لم تصح البراءة) لأن فيه تغريرًا للمُبْرئ، وقد أمكن التحرُّز منه.
