(وإن كانت) السترة (بعيدة) عرفًا، بحيث يحتاج إلى زمن طويل، أو عمل كثير (ستر) الواجب ستره (وابتدأ) أي: استأنف الصلاة، لأنه لا يمكن فعلها إلا بما ينافيها من العمل الكثير، أو بدون شرطها، بخلاف التي قبلها.
