وروى ابن حبان في كتاب أخلاق النَّبيِّ - صلى الله عليه وسلم - من حديث ابن عمر:"كان النَّبيُّ - صلى الله عليه وسلم - يعتَمُّ، يديرُ كورَ العمامةِ على رأسِهِ، ويغرِزها من ورائِه، ويرخي لها ذؤابةً بين كتفَيْه".
