(ولا يُشترط لصحَّتها) أي: التوبة (من ذلك) أي: من القذف والغيبة ونحوهما (إعلامه) أي: المقذوف أو المُغتاب ونحوه. نقل مهنّا: لا ينبغي أن يُعلمه (ولأن في إعلامه دُخولَ غَمٍّ عليه وزيادة إيذاء. وقال القاضي، والشيخ عبد القادر: يحرم) على القاذف ونحوه
