(ويخرج إلى المصلى متواضعًا في ثياب بذلة متخشعًا) أي خاضعًا، (متذللًا) من الذل، وهو الهوان، (متضرعًا) أي متمسكنًا ، لحديث ابن عباس قال:"خرج النَّبيُّ - صلى الله عليه وسلم - للاستسقاء متذللًا متواضعًا متخشعًا متضرعًا، حتى أتى المصلى" قال الترمذي: حديث حسن صحيح.
