(وَإِلَّا فَلَا) أَيْ: إِذَا لَمْ يَكُنْ هُنَاكَ وَلَدٌ يُرِيدُ نَفْيَهُ لَمْ يَكُنْ لَهُ أَنْ يُلَاعِنَ بِغَيْرِ خِلَافٍ نَعْلَمُهُ ; لِأَنَّ الْحَاجَةَ إِلَى اللِّعَانِ لِإِسْقَاطِ الْحَدِّ، أَوْ لِنَفْيِ الْوَلَدِ. وَالْحَدُّ لَمْ يُطَالِبْ بِهِ، وَالْوَلَدُ مَعْدُومٌ.
