وإذا استعان بغيره ينبغي أن يشهدها بنفسه لقوله عليه الصلاة والسلام لفاطمة رضي الله عنها : "قومي فاشهدي أضحيتك، فإنه يغفر لك بأول قطرة من دمها كل ذنب" .
