قال: "ولا بأس بلبس الحرير والديباج في الحرب عندهما" لما روى الشعبي رحمه الله : "أنه عليه الصلاة والسلام رخص في لبس الحرير والديباج في الحرب" ولأن فيه ضرورة فإن الخالص منه أدفع لمعرة السلاح وأهيب في عين العدو لبريقه.
