(أما إن ظنَّه) أي: ظنَّ المُحتال الدَّينَ (عليه) أي: على المحال عليه (فَجَحَد) المحال عليه الدَّين (ولم يمكن إثباته، فله) أي: المحتال (الرجوعُ عليه) أي: على المحيل؛ لأن الأصل بقاء دَيْنه عليه، ولم تتحقق براءته منه.
