(ويستحب تأخير التيمم إلى آخر الوقت المختار) بحيث يدرك الصلاة كلها قبل خروجه (لمن يعلم) وجود الماء (أو يرجو وجود الماء) في الوقت؛ لأن الطهارة بالماء فريضة، والصلاة في أول الوقت فضيلة، وانتظار الفريضة أولى.
