(وإن وُطئت زوجتُه) بشبهة أو زنىً (أو) وُطئت (سُرِّيَّتُهُ بشُبهة أو زنىً؛ حَرُمت) أي: حَرُم وطؤها (حتى تعتدَّ الزوجة) حُرَّة كانت أو أمة (وتُستبرأَ السُّرِّيَّة) خشية اشتباه الأنساب واختلاط المياه
