(ويستحب سكوت الإمام بعدها) أي بعد قراءة الفاتحة (بقدر قراءة مأموم) الفاتحة في الصلاة الجهرية، لحديث أبي داود، وابن ماجه، عن سمرة ، وليتمكن المأموم من قراءة الفاتحة مع الإنصات لقراءة الإمام.
