(وإن أقام كلُّ واحدٍ) من العبدين (بينةً بموجِب عتقه، تعارضتا وسقطتا) لأن كلَّ واحدة منهما تنفي ما شَهِدت به الأخرى (وبقيا على الرّقّ) لاحتمال أن يكون مات في غير مُحرَّم وصَفَر.
