(ولو رأى) أي اعتقد (الإمام اشتراط عدد في المأمومين، فنقص عن ذلك) العدد (لم يجز أن يؤمهم) لتعاطيه عبادة يعتقد بطلانها (ولزمه) أي الإمام (استخلاف أحدهم) ليصلي بهم؛ ليؤدوا فرضهم.
