(وإلا) أي: وإن لم تكن أرضُه حصباءَ ونحوها، بل كانت بلاطًا أو رُخامًا (مَسَحَها بثوبِه أو غيره) لأن القصد إزالتها (ولا يكفي تغطيتها بحصير) لأنه لا إزالة في ذلك
