(ويُقوِّي نفوسَهم بما يخيل إليهم من أسباب النصر) فيقول مثلًا: أنتم أكثر عَدَدًا وعُددًا، وأشد أبدانًا، وأقوى قلوبًا، ونحو ذلك؛ لأنه مما تستعين به النفوس على المصابرة، ويبعثها على القتال؛ لطمعها في العدو.
