(و) بقوله (عهد الله) لأفعلن كذا (و) بقوله أيضا (ميثاقه) أي: ميثاق الله بمعنى عهده ولنا الذمة

وكذا سمي الذمي معاهدا والأمانة قال الله تعالى: {وأوفوا بعهد الله إذا عاهدتم، ولا تنقضوا الأيمان بعد توكيدها} (النحل: ٩١) ، وقد غلب استعمالها بمعنى اليمين ثم إذا نوى غيره بأن نوى العبادات لم يكن يمينا.
