(فَإِذَا مَاتَ: سُنَّ تَغْمِيضُ عَيْنَيْهِ) ؛ لِأَنَّهُ - صَلَّى اللَّهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ - «أَغْمَضَ أَبَا سَلَمَةَ، وَقَالَ: إنَّ الْمَلَائِكَةَ يُؤَمِّنُونَ عَلَى مَا تَقُولُونَ» رَوَاهُ مُسْلِمٌ.

وَلِئَلَّا يَنْفَتِحَ نَظَرُهُ، وَيُسَاءَ بِهِ الظَّنُّ.
