(فإن لم يُجب) المحتضر من لقنه (أو تكلم بعدها) أي: بعد لا إله إلا الله (أعاد) الملقن (تلقينه) ليكون آخر كلامه ذلك (بلطف ومداراة) ، ذكره النووي إجماعًا ؛ لأن ذلك مطلوب في كل موضع، فهنا أولى.
