وكل موضع قلنا يجوز له دفعه إلى أحدهما إذا دفعه إليه فعليه رده إلى يده فإن لم يفعل ضمن حق الآخر

(وكل موضع قلنا: لا يجوز له) أي: العدل (دفعه) أي: الرهن (إلى أحدهما) أي: الراهن والمُرتَهِن (إذا دفعه) العدل (إليه، فعليه) أي: العدل (ردُّه) أي: الرهن (إلى يده) استدراكًا لحظ الآخر (فإن لم يفعل) العدل (ضمن حق الآخر) لأنه فوته عليه.
