(ثم بأولاد الأنصار) وهم الحيَّان الأوس والخزرج، وقُدِّموا على غيرهم لسابقتهم وآثارهم الجميلة. (ثم بسائر العرب) لفضلهم على من سواهم. (ثم العجم، ثم الموالي) أي: العتقاء؛ ليحصُل التعميم بالدفع.
